Dental Imaging Techniques
At Tradition Parkway Dental Care, we pride ourselves on using the latest dental imaging techniques and technology to provide our patients with a safer, more comfortable experience. Our Port St. Lucie, Florida, office makes use of digital x-rays, 3D scanners and more to accurately diagnose serious dental conditions and design precise treatment plans.
Digital x-rays are one of the most frequently used dental imaging techniques at Tradition Parkway Dental Care, as they're used at dental checkups to monitor tooth and jawbone health and to diagnose problems like infections, tooth fractures, bone deterioration and more. They expose patients to less radiation than traditional imaging methods, and the x-ray process is faster, so our dentist can instantly review the images and make a diagnosis.
An intraoral camera is a small video camera that takes an image of the outside of the gum or tooth. The intraoral camera resembles an oversized pen. While simultaneously viewing a monitor, the dentist inserts the camera into a patient's mouth and gently shifts it about so that images can be taken from a variety of angles.Read more about Intraoral Camera
iTero Dental Impressions
The iTero Intraoral Scanner allows doctors to take a 3D digital scan of a patient’s teeth and bite rather than using a viscous impression material. This digital impression scanner can be used for veneers, crowns, bridges, surface inlays, onlays, implant abutments from single units to full arches and even modeling an Invisalign treatment. Patients are also able to view before and simulated after images of their dental treatments on an in-office computer display.Read more about iTero Dental Impressions
